Our Team

KTH Outdoor Club is a THS Association at KTH and it’s run by students from KTH and other universities in Stockholm. We have a board who is running the club and once a month an Event Organizing Evening (EOE) is taking place, where you can meet others students and plan new trips/events. ”Hi! I'm the current Chair of KTH Outdoor Club. I've been hiking and camping for most of my life, and I won't be stopping any time soon. There are few things more enjoyable than living out of your backpack for days upon days, cooking, and sleeping in the great outdoors. See you on the trail!"

I love to refresh my mind while running in the park or on trails, hike through a beautiful mountain scenery or gliding down snow-covered slopes. ”Hej hej! I am Valeria, and one of the gear managers at the outdoor club. I love Sweden, its nature and the seasons (definitely also winter time!) and like to explore nature’s colours on hiking or skiing trips. I think every landscape, no matter how grey or rainy the day still has its own magical beauty. But for the short-term future, let’s still hope for some good weather on our planned trips (walking with dry feet is still much more fun…)! And if you need any equipment for these or for your own trips, you can contact me or my colleagues Kolya and Fredrik with any questions about it, book it via our website and then we might meet at the gear pick up and hopefully also at some events!"

”Hey! I'm one of the Gear Managers in the club. It means I help with handling gear reservations and pickups & returns. I enjoy a variety of outdoor activites, some of them being bouldering, alpine-skiing, hiking and ice-hockey. Welcome to the club!”

Alongside acro-yoga and hitting the gym, my adventures also include bouldering, ice skating, kayaking, and camping. Last year, I fully embraced the Scandinavian wilderness, and I'm eager to organise trips to share my experiences. Whether it's trekking through serene landscapes or paddling in the tranquillity of the sea, I look forward to welcoming you on our next outdoor expedition. Let's explore the beauty of the outdoors together!"

”Hi, I am Dominik, a General Board Member at KTHOC and I love being in nature and trying out new activities. For me, there is nothing better than living together in cosy cabins, hunting for auroras and, most importantly being outdoors all day. I enjoy slowing down to take pictures as well as being in motion, so if we did not meet yet I hope to see you on a Kayak trip or hike soon!"

Hej allihopa! I am Arne, the current co-treasurer of the club. I enjoy all different kinds of outdoor activities, whether that’s hiking on the famous Kungsleden, ski-touring in Jämtlandet or kayaking in Stockholm’s beautiful archipelago. Feeling the power and energy of nature really is something special and nothing beats a good cup of hot chocolate with friends in a cozy cabin after a long day of exploring!
